Social Anxiety Group

Social anxiety or social phobia is used to describe a longstanding fear of social situations, which often results in the person avoid or minimize the situation. Often the person is worried that they will be embarrassed or humiliated in some way and that they will be evaluated negatively or criticized by other people. The social anxiety group is designed to teach skills to overcome social anxiety and provide support and help for people with these types of problems.

Even if you fear is not intense, the group program may give you helpful suggestions for easing anxiety that you experience in social situations. In the social anxiety program clients can learn the skills to manage social anxiety with the purpose of enjoying and experiencing social interactions and situations.
